May be off topic..

Hi,

This may be off-topic a bit as it has to do with EMC storage.

In the past we have configured several Alpha Servers for connection
to EMC storage. Problem being we would load the associated drivers
for the adapters on the Alpha Servers.. Period! EMC would not allow us
to touch/look at their Storage. Their reps would come in, drop and level
the cabs (after adding extra support to the flooring). We would then run
and connect their cables to the Alphas, boot the Alphas and verify that
the machines came up without issues. EMC would then log on to their
storage and do what they had to do, and remotely monitor! Any configuration
changes would be done by EMC..and only EMC.

My question is this, Has EMC opened this up, so that (trained in EMC
storage/certified) non EMC personnel can make configuration changes
or does this still need to be done by EMC?

                                 Thanks,

                                         Matt Harris
