Managers:
We are experiencing a temporary drop off in messages that eventually returns, and were wondering if this might be a sign of slow start.
Platform is Tru64 4.0D. Data is sent at a 50ms rate. Initially, several messages (how we transmit the data) go out, then they drop off so only every 8th time is one sent, then every 4th, then every 2nd, and finally, after about 20 seconds, the rate becomes what we expect.
Is this a possible effect of slow start?
If so, can we disable slow start? (We have a stand alone network that we are dealing with, with very limited traffic)
