Tom Blinn, Dave Sill, and Tru64 list denizens everywhere:
I would like to see a zero-tolerance policy implemented for this list - a
subscriber posts something totally irrelevant to this list, esp. a
political statement, just once, and they're no longer a subscriber.
Period. Is it also possible to actively filter-out poster addresses so
someone unsubscribed simply can no longer post to the list? Been a while
since I played with majordomo (if this is what's being used). Because this
list is unmoderated, probably "no" in either case. Perhaps being soundly
told-off by hundreds of list denizens will be enough to disuade further
abuse of the list by individuals, but concrete measures would be nice.
Some of us have dozens of Tru64-powered servers to keep running, and this
list cannot afford to be diluted by political claptrap.
