Hi Gang:

Our day operator has a question, and I don't know how to answer it, could you guys give me suggestions?

<snip>
        As you know, I am trying to do a rvdump of jerome to the tape drive on shrimp. This requires a rsh which we apparently have disabled. I was wondering if maybe you could ask the group the following questions.

* How do I start the rshd (do I have to specify a socket, if so which one). This is what I get when I try to start one : $ shrimp /usr/sbin>/usr/sbin/rshd rshd: (null): getpeername: Socket operation on non-socket
* Is it possible to setup the rshd to only except the rsh command from jerome
* If there is not a way to limit the rshd, is there a specific command to bring the rshd down or do I just kill it.

Larry

<end snip>

Thanks!
