Hi,

We run xntpd on a Tru64/Trucluster 5.1 system.
xntdp does not perform time synchronization and give the following errors
at startup:

May 8 23:09:27 osborne xntpd[694005]: ntpd 4.0.98a Thu Aug 24 23:12:07 EDT 2000
May 8 23:09:27 osborne xntpd[694005]: precision = 1001 usec
May 8 23:09:27 osborne xntpd[694005]: kern_enable is 1
May 8 23:09:27 osborne xntpd[694005]: bind() fd 9, family 2, port 123, addr 195
.74.212.109, in_classd=0 flags=0 fails: Address already in use
May 8 23:09:27 osborne xntpd[694005]: using kernel phase-lock loop 0001
May 8 23:09:27 osborne xntpd[694005]: frequency initialized -3.495 from /cluste
r/members/{memb}/etc/ntp.drift
May 8 23:09:27 osborne xntpd[694005]: using kernel phase-lock loop 0041

'ntpdate <server>' works perfectly. Any idea?

Xavier
