directIO inconsistent data fix

  Hi,
  I have recived an email from compaq about an Early Release Patch Kit to correct a directio probleme.
  i have a two member (ES40 and DS20) 5.1a cluster running Oracle 9iRAC, and i wender if i must install this patch or not ?
