how to change LCD on front panel of 4000: LOW IMPORTANCE

What to think about while waiting for a restore to complete...

Anybody know how to change the LCD on the front panel of a 4100? The
previous owner of this machine loaded NT on it and used it to play quake so
the LCD panel on the front says QUAKE-SERVER. Since that is ancient history
around here, and since I don't play quake, I'd like to change what is
displayed to something a bit more relevant and up-to-date.
