Thank you to Jan Holzer and Lee Butler. As it turned out, there was no
memory channel entry in my host file for the es401 (es401-mc0). I made up a
10.0.0.c IP, and entered it in the host file for es401-mc0, and everything
worked fine. Much a do about nothing. I should have caught that, but
didn't.

Subject: cfsmgr wont move fileset.
Date: Thu, 06 Jun 2002 11:41:24 -0700
Has anyone had issues moving fileset ownership to other cluster members
using cfsmrg? I've used this before with no problems, but am having
difficulty this time. Here's the deal:
I have a three node 5.1 cluster (PK4). Two GS80s (named GS801 and GS801)
and an ES40 (named ES401). Oracle runs on GS801, so I wanted all the AdvFS
filesets that are part of Oracle to be under GS801 control. Moving filesets
currently under GS802 to GS801 worked fine. Moving filesets from ES401 to
GS801 produced the following output:
# cfsmgr -h es401 -r -a SERVER=gs801 /oradata08
cfsmgr: Unable to get member ID for view host 'es401'.
I have tried to call it by fully qualified hostname (even though the man
pages says not to), and that didn't work either. The member is in the
hostfile and ./rhost file. It looks like the cluster member is up and
recognized:
# clu_get_info
Cluster information for cluster prod
Number of members configured in this cluster = 3
memberid for this member = 1
Quorum disk = dsk2h
Quorum disk votes = 1
Information on each cluster member
Cluster memberid = 2
Hostname = gs802.advmkt.com
Cluster interconnect IP name = gs802-mc0
Member state = UP
Cluster memberid = 1
Hostname = gs801.advmkt.com
Cluster interconnect IP name = gs801-mc0
Member state = UP
Cluster memberid = 3
Hostname = es401.advmkt.com
Cluster interconnect IP name = es401-mc0
Member state = UP
Any input would be great!
Thanks
