We have a tru64 v5.1a system running trucluster over memory
channel as a 2 node cluster. It will be an Oracle 9iRAC server,
and the dbas had a question:
Assuming that Oracle IPC communication goes over the memory
channel (according to their docs) does it use "kernel mode"
or "user mode"?
I'm familiar with something similar in an AIX SP2 environment,
where you could set parallel oracle communication over the
high speed switch to use user mode or kernel mode, but I
am not finding any info about this in the trucluster environment.
Can anyone enlighten me and/or point me to info? Huge TIA!!
