Were running 5.1a and NetBackup w/ SAN (FCTC) tape drives (DLT7000 in
StorageTek ATL). NB fails occasionally claiming that some system must be
holding a SCSI reservation in the tape device. How can I tell what is
reserved? I tried this:
scu> sbtl 2 0 3
Device: DLT7000, Bus: 2, Target: 0, Lun: 3, Type: Sequential Access
scu> show res
scu: 'persistent reserve in' failed on device 'DLT7000' at nexus [2/0/3]
scu: Sense Key = 0x5 = ILLEGAL REQUEST - Illegal request or CDB parameter,
Sense Code/Qualifier = (0x20, 0) = Invalid command operation code
scu>
The help for "show reservations" inidates it's a SCSI-3 feature show
reservations...
" This command displays the current persistent reservations. (SCSI-3
command)"
but 'show dev' indicates that the tape is SCSI-2 ("Response Data Format: 2
(SCSI-2)").
