Original Question
I just recently install sendmail from the Internet
Express 5.7 cd. I went through setup and everything is
fine. I just got off the phone with the compaq rep and
he indicated that Compaq doesn't support the .mc file
being parsed by the m4. YIKES! So does that mean we
have to manually edit the sendmail.cf file? That is
dangerous. Can somebody share their experience on how
should I handle this??

Very few, I can count all in one hand. The general
consensus is that if you want to build an elaborate
sendmail server, then The Internet Express CD is not a
wide choice because Compaq will not support the m4.
They will in the near future.
