I recently had a hard drive crash (due to a power loss). In order to
successfully transfer the data between partitions of the new & old HD, I
used tar.
However, for some odd reason, certain files did not retain sticky bit
permissions. I thought I had restored the sticky bit permissions on all the
required files, but apparantly I did not.
When a regular user tries to lock a screen from within CDE, a beep is heard,
and the screen remains open. An error message in ~/.dt/errorlog reports the
following:
Tue Jul 30 16:25:31 2002
dtsession: Unable to lock display due to security restrictions.
Any help is appreciated.
