Disk sharing among differing servers

Admins,

A question has been posed as to the possibility of dual mounting
disks on differing server platforms ( one reads/write the other read only).
We currently are using a Compaq (New-HP) SAN implementation, HSG80 (version
8.6F) dual controllers, brocade switches, with fiber channel connections .
We have created zones and have the access set for the proper connections
(selective presentation). Our current platforms are Tru64 5.1 Trucluster
patch kit 5. The target machines are SUN servers. The intent is to provide
a read only mount to the sun servers without using NFS. We have been
tinkering around with the idea of breaking mirrors, using the snapshot
feature, cloning (but these are not real time). Another is to script file
transfer through scp. Lastly, we could use Data Replication, which costs a
good sum of money. Has anyone solved this issue for themselves?
