Tru64 managers:
I was recommended to look into the mailman mail listserver package to
replace the ancient majordomo server we have running on our 5.1A system.
I went and got the current stable package, mailman-2.0.13, from the
sourceforge site and followed their instructions to install it. Prior to
building it, I upgraded python to version 2.1.3. mailman seems to build
OK, but when I create my first mail list, "test". I get an e-mail from the
mail list daemon informing me of the new list and directs me to a url for
administering the new list. I've installed the mailman system in
/usr/local/mailman under appropriate uid and gid, per directions and I
configured my apache webserver to point to the area. I believe I've given
appropriate alias to the mailman area in the apache config and indeed I
can access the mailman tree structure with a web browser, but the
administration url doesn't exist -- that is, I'm directed to a url:
http://serverhost/mailman/admin/test
There's no admin directory under the /usr/local/mailman tree where I've
installed mailman and there was no error when the newlist command ran.
So I'm looking for anyone with any experience using mailman on tru64 who
may be able to assist me with getting this going.
Thanks for any help.
