First of all thanks to all of you send me answers. It is a pleasure to use this mailing list, when you get so many qualified answers so quickly. Thanks guys.
The answers used different approches to solving this problem, ranging from perl scripts to shell scripts using variables. Basically you used the same method. Like the method sent to me by Bryan Mills. His solution can be seen below with the original question.

I want to make a script where I upload some files to an ftp-site. HOWTO?
I do a small script,
open host
username password
asci
put filename
quit
and then call the script such as
ftp -n <script
