It turns out that many of these individual patches have to be
extracted and applied separately, otherwise a checksum
failure will result.
One more thing, the checksum for patch t64v51ab2-c0030800-14434-e-20020529.tar
in readme and cksum files are different on compaq web site. I guess the
cksum agreed with what I downloaded.
