Thanks to Chris Bryant, J Bacher, and Bryan Mills, and they all said to comment out of /etc/fstab, and reboot. The subject line had the wrong nfs export, but the solution was still the same. The file system I was working on was /d996 and not the /patch.

I have a nfs server exoprting a advfs file system to 8 nfs clients. The file system /patch will umount on all the clients, but will not umount on the server side. I keep getting a device busy error. fuser show no active process, and lsof show no open files. The /etc/mountdtab file is also empty, and the file system will still not umount. Can anyone help. Thanks,
