Thanks to everyone who replied, to many to name, but you know who you are.

The answer as beautiful put by Alan Davis is:

repeat the password 4 times :

Changing password for davis.

Old password:
New password:
Please don't use an all-lower case password.
Unusual capitalization, control characters or digits are suggested.

Managers,

I have a Tru64 v5.1 server using BASE security, and am trying to set a all
letter 6 character passwd.
It is returning with:

Please don't use an all-lower case password.
Unusual capitalization, control characters or digits are suggested.

And it is not letting me set it. I have read docs regarding the config of
Advanced Security which discusses these params in /etc/auth/system/default.
But these don't apply as im using BASE.

Any responses much appreciated.
