Hi Admins:
I am in the process of doing an upgrade of an AlphaDS20 moving from
V4.0F to V4.0G. Everything went well and the system is booting and
working fine with a generic kernel. I can not however compile a new
kernel. I get an error in makelint. When I looked at the system, I
have a couple of files makedep and makelint which show that they were
replaced during the upgrade, but both contain the same thing:
rm -f vmunix vmunix.GRANITE vmunix.swap vmunix.sys
rm -f eddep *.o *.mod Makefile.* *.s locore.i errs linterrs makelinks
*.log *LOG*
rm -f makedep makedepfiles *.o.d
rm -f makelint makelintfiles makelintobjs lint *.ln *.lint
rm -f sysconfigtab*
cat /dev/null >makedep
cat /dev/null >makelint
Of course I compare these to the makelint files I have on my other
Alphas and obviously there is something wrong. At this point I can not
even compile a kernel with the doconfig -a command. Can someone help!!!
I'm a bit desperate here.
Thanks,
Bryan Daniel
