Either I have everything covered here, I have stumped everyone or I have'nt
been specific enough with my request/information. The only response I got
was a vacation message.
Thanks anyway,
Regards, John.
ORIGINAL MESSAGE:
Hi managers,
I have just scoured the archives for info on disabling my Trucluster ASE
environments on two machines. Failover services between the two machines
have been disabled for over a month. Both machines are Alphaserver 1200's
one has just been upgraded from 4.0D to 4.0G with all patches, the other is
about to be upgaded on the same path. Both have local system disks with
individual apps partitions on an RA7000 Raid 0+1 setup.
I have successfully upgraded the first machine (test system now on 4.0G) and
disabled ase in /etc/sysconfigtab by entering
clubase:
cluster_disable = 1
I removed the Trucluster software subset with setld -d. The machine seems to
be running o.k.
Questions:
I have noticed all the patches for TCR are still installed (setld -i). Is
this going to cause me problems at some stage, do I need to individually
delete these too? Is there anything else I need to do before I try this on
the 2nd (production) machine?
Regards, John
