Many thanks for the advise so far received but sadly the problem is not resolved.
I am unable to zero the existing label with -z
root > disklabel -z rrz20c
Disk is unlabeled or, /dev/rrz20c is not in block 0 of the disk
root > disklabel -z rrz20
Disk is unlabeled or, /dev/rrz20a is not in block 0 of the disk
LSM is not used on this server. This disk is a standalone JBOD with no filesystem or mount points, it is used as a raw data disk for an Informix DB. No Resillience :-(
