I've been searching through the archives for my answer...but can't seem to find
it immediately. Anyway, we want to do the whole "shadow passwd file" thing for
security purposes, but we do not want to enable C2 security. We are running
Tru64 5.1 and 5.1a on our various systems. Some of the messages I was reading
said you must have C2 in order to use the shadow file, and other messages
alluded to the fact that in the future you wouldn't need C2 (when I say future,
I am referring to posts from several years ago...is the future now?). anyway,
if someone could let me know if we need C2 or not that would be great. And in
the event that you do NOT need C2, could someone point me to some documentation
on how to do this? Thanks in advance....
