Thanks go to: Bryan Lavelle (HP) and Andy Pavitt for
their responses.
I saw that variable different (set to off) on one
system which is having a problem with rebooting
remotely........it hangs on the reset, and manual
intervention is need (ie. power off/on). So this is
not the cause of the problem. trying to solve a
longtime problem, which started when we moved from
4.0f ->40G a while back.
:::Response:::
boot_reset is either set to on or off. This forces a
power up self
test (POST) when the boot command is issued. On is
the (highly)
recommended setting, especially if you have SCSI
adapters installed. These
adapters need to be set to a known state before
booting, and POST does
this.
I don't know if you will find the manual you are
looking for online or
not, I believe there would be some copyright issues if
it were online,
but am not positive.
