Once again the list comes through!
Thanks to everyone who answered. The answer that helped me out was from
Joe Carrico who sent me the AS400 user's guide PDF.
To get to ARC on an AS400 from the SRM:
>>> set os_type NT
then power cycle the server (wait about 20 seconds). It will boot to
the familiar ARC console where you can "run a program". In my case,
"a:ra200rcu" which is the software for the version of Mylex controller I
am using. Once completed, use the SRM menu option to change the os type
back to Digital Unix and power cycle, again with a 20 second delay.
After the power cycle, you are once again at the familiar SRM prompt
where you can boot Unix as normal.
Cheers,
Ralf

Subject: ARC Console on AS400/233
Good Afternoon!
I need to run the mylex raid configuration utility (ra200rcu) on my old
AS400, but ARC doesn't appear to be there. It has been years since I
worked on this box and I vaguely remember that you needed to set
something at the console to allow you to run ARC but I can't find my
notes on it.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
