Hi All,

I used a simple procedure in V4.0x to "clone" a UFS disk with the O/S on it:

1) Shut down
2) Insert a spare disk into the "Blue Shelf"
3) Boot to single user
4) Use dd to copy the "system disk" to the "spare" disk
5) Shut down
6) Remove the "original" disk and replace it with the "spare" disk
7) Put the "original" in a safe place in case we have a disk failure
8) Boot the new disk

We've upgraded to 5.1A and this process doesn't work.... I suspect it has
something to do with the Hardware Manager.

Any suggestions on what I need to do before step 8 to enable the newly
created disk to boot?

THANKS!

Jim
