PPP / Slip Config

 Hi admins,
I've tried to config Slip and PPP on my severs DS40 and Alpha 2000 running
5.1a, I've followed
all procedure in NW. manual, but uniformity it doesn't work,
in slip the IP address on both servers become up but servers can't ping each
other,


serial ports are working fine,

any advice on this, any thing else not written on manuals
