I'm happy to have been able to help.

This is being posted with the permission of the list maintainer. It
is not a question or summary, but a good bye.

My group's reorganization from Compaq to HP has left me without a
job. I got the official notification of being laid off today. I
haven't ever needed a non-work E-mail address, so I won't be able
to continue following the mailing list after I leave. There's a
chance of finding a new job in HP and outside, so I may be back,
but after Friday, probably not soon.

I'm happy that I've been able to help many of you. I've gotten
over 400 "thank you" messages that I saved, most from people who
have asked questions on this mailing list. Direct customer
support wasn't my job even though I have been in Services for
the last three years. Even after the Compaq merger, I only
worked for people who had come from Digital, and they under-
stood the value of providing such help.

Good bye.
