Is there any information about repeated failures of the kloadsrv daemon with
4.0Fpk5? The daemon sometimes dies but mostly it is appears to stop working.
I notice it when things that things I use that depend on the kloadsrv daemon
won't work until I kill the daemon and start it and a simple kill isn't
enough, I use kill -9...
I have turned on debugging like this:
/sbin/kloadsrv -d 2 -log /var/log/kloadsrv.log
and when it stops working I see this in the logfile
kloadsrv: kls_server_ipc_receive_request: calling msgrcv()
kloadsrv: kernel_lookup_package("kernel", "namecache", symbol_addr) = 0;
*symbol
kloadsrv: Error 81: kls_server_ipc_receive_request: msgrcv() failed
kloadsrv: calling ftok("/sbin/kloadsrv", 'A')
The message queue has been successfully re-created.
kloadsrv: kls_server_ipc_receive_request: calling msgrcv()
but it seems that the re-creation is not as successful as Unix seems to think
it is so I will make the debugging a little louder.
Any thoughts?
