Good morning Sysadmins,
My original question was:
I was wondering if anyone had managed to successfully compile and install
PGP on TRU64 v4.0G?
I was hoping to see my mailbox swamped with responses... ;-) Nonetheless,
my thanks goes to the following persons who responded: D. Stacks, J. Thomas
and M. Degerness.
M.D.: Has pgp 2.6.3ia running on 4.0F. No error reported.
-----------
J.T.: Used GNUPG v1.0.4. An extract from his notes:
04/04/01, Installed GNU Privacy Guard (GNUPG) 1.0.4.
$ export CC="cc -std"
$ gunzip gnupg-1.0.4.tar.gz
$ tar -xvf gnupg-1.0.4.tar
$ cd gnupg-1.0.4
$ ./configure --enable-static-rnd=egd
$ make
$ make install
I think there was an error that could be ignored, if forget what program
didn't compile, but I didn't need it.
I had to install EGD v0.8 (Entropy Gathering Daemon)
------------------
Thanks to all and if I get successful results in my quest for the latest (as
possible) version of PGP on TRU64 v4.0G, I will send an update to the group.
Thanks again for your time and assistance,
Have a nice day,
Serge Forget
