Many thanks to S. Millard for pointing me in the right direction.
I have this script but when I run it nothing happens that why the nfs diskS
are never mounted during a reboot/startup stage.

/sbin/rc3.d/S20nfsmount start

Noone had run nfsconfig to enable 'Mount Network Directories'

my old /etc/fstab file had the following parameters rsize=32768,
wsize=32768. Do I just modify the file and put these in again, or
are they going to get overwritten again on a reboot?

Regards
Mark

Hello,

I have es40 running tru64unix 5.0a, with a number of nfsv3 mounted disks. I
have noticed that each time the server reboots the nfs are never mounted...

If I do th following:-
# mount -a
the nfs disks are mounted correctly.

The mount command from /etc/fstab is:-
/vol/area/work_at_netap /Work nfsv3 rw,bg rsize=32768, wsize=32768 0 0

Why are the nfs disks not mounted during the startup process?

Regards

Mark
