Salut managers,
So far I've got two replies. Thanks to B.DeKnuydt and Yogesh Bhanu.
Both stated that this way one would get very cheap 1 TB of storage. The basic
drawback is throughput (that is expected to be only some MByte/s).
Before using this type of storage one has to make sure that the SRM console will
see the RAID array as a SCSI storage device. After that everything should run
perfectly.
Given this information I'm in the process of purchasing a IDE-RAID array from
Advanced Unibyte, type OxygenRAID WG 320. Is somebody out there who deploys this
or a similar type of IDE-RAID array on a system running Tru64.
Thanks for your patience.
