Hi,

for Software compatibility reasons I want to convert two Linux Alpha's
to Tru64.
SRM on UP2000 V5.5-82 (Tried also UP2000+ V5.6-4)
Onboard SCSI controller (may make problems)
CDROM is ISA device dqa0.

When I boot
P00>>>boot dqa0
the boot process proceeds until it comes to ata0, scsi0 and after
printing to the screen
ata1 at pci0 slot205
ata1 CYPRESS 82C693

core dumps after a cpu0 panic: Unaligned kernel space access from kernel
mode.

Sofar all help I got, points to the onboard SCSI. In the SRM (both
versions) I see no enviroment variable
onboard_adaptec which I'm told to set to disable.
I would appreciate any help, what is the correct SRM,
the Compac Firmware CD 5.8 selected the wrong file and I had to restore
the firmware in fail safe mode with
minimal instructions.
