You have running jobs

Hi all,

We have users getting the error "You have running jobs" when they login to a
V5.1A system.

I know that normally this message is displayed when you try to exit a shell
while you have background jobs running, however this is not the case here.
NOTE: You do also get this message when you try to exec a command when you
have background jobs.

The users have just logged into the system and are about to exec a menu
script when the error occurs. The problem only occurs while a totally
different user is running a certain program.

The output from the "jobs" command just prior to "exec menu" is:
[1] + Running <command unknown>
You have running jobs

If I "sleep 1" before the "exec menu" command the problem does not occur.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Mark Schubert
