Hi,
We just had our 4100 5.1A had an AdvFS panic in the root domain:
AdvFS I/O error:
Volume: /dev/disk/dsk3a
Tag: 0xfffffff6.0000
Page: 38
Block: 254320
Block count: 16
Type of operation: Read
Error: 5
EEI: 0x3600

To obtain the name of the file on which
the error occurred, type the command:
/sbin/advfs/tag2name /disk01/.tags/15

panic (cpu 0): domain panic promoted because the domain is the root domain:
bs_osf_complete: metadata write failed
syncing disks... 95 95
Now if this weren't the root domain and I had an AdvFS panic I would addvol
another volume and rmvol this bad one. However with this being the root
disk I'm guessing I can't do that. Does anybody know of a workaround?
Here's what the root_domain looks like:
root==> showfdmn -k root_domain
Id Date Created LogPgs Version Domain Name
3d0a579a.000e76f2 Fri Jun 14 16:52:42 2002 512 4 root_domain
Vol 1K-Blks Free % Used Cmode Rblks Wblks Vol Name
1L 306912 184584 40% on 256 256 /dev/disk/dsk3a
I'm pretty sure that the boot sector information on here so how do I fix
this?
Many thanks!!
