Which backup system to choose?

Hi Admin Wizards,

if you would have to create a new server cluster from scratch (small: 2
nodes as a cluster, raid shelf with approx. 40 Gigs of Data, System
servicing file shares, web services and limited media streams), what
backup solution would you choose?
Backup strategy at the moment is mirroring to second raid shelf every 15
minutes, mirroring on offsite mirror every six hours, saving to tape
(DAT) every 24 hours.

So, what to choose - tape drive / dlt ? external firewire HD-System?Any
other suggestions?

Would be thankful for a hint.
