Networking: TLI in Tru64 5.1a

  Hi

We are trying to port a C application to 5.1a from 4.0D that uses a 3rd
party RPC implementation.
This in turn uses the TLI library. The main application has been recompiled
under 5.1a; the 3rd party libraries have not. We are getting problems when
resolving the service name/port.

Can anyone confirm one way or another whether the 5.1a TLI implementation
differs from previous ones?
Is this a binary compatibility issue?

I've trawled through some of the documentation (Release Notes, Network
Programmer's Guide) but there doesn't seem to be a clear statement.

Ideally we should probably be using XTI, but this isn't an option in the
short term.

  TIA
