Hello managers,

We have a 2 cpu AlphaServer 2100 5/300 that is locking up after an upgrade
to 5.1A in a multi-threaded program of ours that runs at real-time priority.
I have a full crash dump of the system and I would like to use the debugger
to see what this program was doing, but the syntax described in the Kernel
Debugging manual, which is:
dbx -k vmunix.1 vmzcore.1 /usr/proj7/test1

does not work, it outputs:
Error on setting fork sysentry
: Not a typewriter

cannot run program
Exiting due to error during startup

Does anyone know if this syntax really should work? Looking at the rest of
the system state
I could gather from the dump was not helpful to me in determining why the
system locked up.

Thanks in advance,
John
