UPDATE: ES45: revision of Memory Channel Controller CCMAB-AA

Dear Alphafriends,

I received two replies to my question which essentially is:

        "Is it possible to update the firmware of a CCMAB-AA Memory Channel controller
         from revision C03 to D01 so that the controller can be used into an ES45?"

Thanks to Kevin & Peter.

Kevin confirmed that:
        1) D01 revision is absolutely needed on the ES45
        2) he connected a D01 revision on a ES45 in VHB with a C02 revision on a ES40
        
Peter suggests to
        1) update the firmware of the ES40 (which as the C03 revison CCMAB-AA card installed)
           to the newest revision. This will upgrade the CCMAB-AA card as well.

But I still have doubts since:

        1) I read the 6.3 firmware release notes for ES45, but I could
         find a single statement related to CCMAB. It only confirms the
         D01 revision is the only acceptable by ES45. CCMAB is not
         explicitally listed as one of the updatable devices

        2) Furthermore in the 6.3 firmware release notes for ES40 there is written
        that from version 5.9 the LFU
        "no longer supports updating CCMAB Memory Channell firmware"

So my question still survive:

        "Is it possible to update the firmware of a CCMAB-AA Memory Channel controller
         from revision C03 to D01 so that the controller can be used into an ES45?"
