Original posting:

Can I get some opinions of the reliability of the recommendations
that
        sys_check provides when run on a Tru64 5.1a system.

Thanks to Michael Acklin, Alan Davis, Pat O'Brien, and Thomas Sjolshagen for
their responses.

I was really fishing around to see what kind of experience others had using
sys_check recommendations. Everyone pretty much agrees that sys_check can
provide useful suggestions for system tuning, but shouldn't be implemented
until those recommendations are compared with the system requirements. It
was mentioned that the warnings and error information should be examined
closely, but that information needs to be weighed against what the system is
doing at the time.
