Well I got lots of responses from folks but was unable to get any of
them to work. I finally went back to the mysql.org website and they had
a new binary out for osf which was version 3.23.54a. Lo and behold it
worked just like the docs said so Im going to go with it. Thanks for
all the responses, way to many to post them all here but they were
appreciated. Maybe this will help some of you as well. To install it
just look at the INSTALL-BINARY file and do what it says there and it
should work.
