burning backup software to an installation CD

I'm still studying to find out which will be the fastest and less troublesome method
of restoring Tru64 5.1 with AdvFS using commercial software (NetVault). The backups
are written to DLT tapes but not in vdump mode. One method that I'm going to
experience and study now is to burn my backup software to a 5.1 installation CD. So
that when I boot to CD, partition my hardrive, make the advfs domains, and I can
install the backup software. Is it logical, possible, and intelligent to burn the
backup software to a Tru64 cdrom installation CD and has anyone ever done this? If
so, where I can find instructions in doing it, is it supported by Tru64? Thanks in
advance.
