SUMMARY: SNMP works for one cluster member, but not the otherr

I received one response to this, from Scott Rogers, who suggested I
ensure I am pointing to the correct IP address (node vs cluster/virtual
) and check
all the configurations (host, rc.config etc).

Everything was configured as required, so I placed a call to support,
and after
some digging, turns out that the cluster was not aware of that node.

A reboot of the member fixed the problem.

I have a 5.1a cluster, and I am trying to do some monitoring of the
network traffic with mrtg.

I have a perl script that pings systems to determine whether or not snmp
is running.

When I check one member (an alphaserver 1200), it is fine, but when I
check the other member (a DS10)
I receive an error bascially telling me that the OID (1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1.0)
does not exist (Error :nosuchname)

What perplexes me, is that both members are running the same snmp and
mib code ( from cluster_var)
