Has any one had any luck in installing Oracle 9iApps Infrastructure (9.0.2)
on a Tru64 5.1a cluster? We get the 3 errors listed below on installation.
Oracle tells us the only way to install 9iApps Infra on a cluster is to
bring the cluster down and boot one node with a standalone boot disk. To
run Infra on a cluster, they tell us whichever node is running the software
will have to have it's hostname set to the cluster alias (which seems to
both defeat the purpose of a cluster and prevent you from running anything
else on the cluster). And the reason for all this, they tell us, is that
Infra is not IP-aware and uses Single Sign On which has serialization
problems because it uses hostname.
Any information/insight into this problem would be greatly appreciated.
Errors:
1) the following failed in linking part of install:
"Error in making target rac_on of makefile
$ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/lib/ins_rdbms.mk rac_on"
2) Net Configuration Assistant hung indefinitely
3) Database Configuration Assistant failed
