I was hoping for some pointers, but I got nothing.
The only response I got was the advice to use SIA and responses from
some other managers which wanted the same thing I wanted.
I only need pam for openssh. And openssh includes pam-support out of the
box. I already use it for solaris, hpux and linux. On them I use the
pam_smb-module to authenticate against a NT-domain-controller.
If there is a "pam_smb"-module for tru64 4.Xx and 5.Xx then that's fine.
Where can I get it?
We use NIS now. It works, but it is a hassle for the users to change
their passwords on two places everytime it is needed. And it also has
other limitations.. and the security... yeah well.
I really would like to have the authentication on one place. I will
still use nis, but not for authentication anymore.
