java - multiple versions at one time

Hi,

We have java 1.1.8-7 as the default. I have installed
1.3.1-5, but it is not the default, which is what we
want - we want the default to stay 1.1.8-7. How do I
make it so that one can test under 1.3.1-5. I thought
it was just set JAVA_HOME to /usr/opt/java131, but that
does not work. I get load errors on shared libs. I could
set the path with /usr/opt/java131/bin first, but I thought
there was a preferred way using JAVA_HOME. Also, if I alter
the path, am I sure that some of the default java want
be accessed with the new version?

Thanks,
Cheers,
Douglas
