This happens on a DS20 E loaded with Tru64 4.0F.
This server runs nothing but a simple office suite
known as Uniplex .
Some time back this server had a same problem ,
i.e. users that may not have logged out still
appear , on a "w" command o/p , and their activity
just appears as a hyphen (-) .
I've loaded the latest patch kit , PK7 on 24/jan .
The system was OK so far , however this morning, a
the system slowed down and it was showing a lot of
defunct users .
After a reboot everything is normal .
Apart from the latest patches following are in the
