Hello friends,
We had an alpha 2100 crash last week. When I rebooted from
the normal raid drive - dra0, it came to single user, but
during bcheckrc, it indicated that it could not find the disks.
We have a single raid shelve with 2 raid logical drives.
A nornal "hwmgr view hier" would display:
.
.
.
21: connection pci0slot8
44: swxcr_controller xcr0
45: control_port xcr0 scp0
46: disk ctlr-0-unit-0 dsk0
47: disk ctlr-0-unit-1 dsk1
but now it shows:
-1: connection pci0slot8
-4: swxcr_controller xcr1
-6: control_port xcr1 scp0
-7: disk ctlr-1-unit-0 dsk0
-8: disk ctlr-1-unit-1 dsk1
Notice the "-" indicating an inactive device.
When I boot from an alternate root from an internal drive,
It shows the same output on "hwmgr view hier", but at least I
am able to "mount -u /". When I try that after booting from the
raid disk, I get "booted disk does not match entry in fstab file",
or something like that.
I cant make changes to any files because the root and /usr filesystem
cant be mounted in write mode.
Anyone know how I can correct this situation? I have tried a different
pci slot, but it didnt help.
Thanks.
