Compiling ircii on 5.1a

Does anyone know how to fix this error compiling ircii? I've tried a few
versions and I get the same error while running make:

gcc -o count -O count.c
//bin/ld:
Unresolved:
yywrap
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

I'm using gcc 3.0.2, tru64 5.1a, Alpha 2100. I'm guessing this is a library
path problem or something, but I'm not sure how to fix it.
