Hi,
I got the following replies from Elizabeth Harvey-Forsythe and Dr
Thomas.Blinn
and many thanks.
Elisabeth Harvey-Forsythe gave the following link which has got a bumber
of
graphic card information:

Dr. Blinn gave the following info which is also very useful:
The ELSA Gloria Synergy (if it's still available in the marketplace)
works well in most systems. The kernel driver for it is "comet". If
you just go buy a random card, it will almost certainly work in VGA
mode, but 640x480 isn't much resolution for running UNIX. You didn't
say what VERSION of the OS you are running, and since that determines
what graphics cards had native support, it matters. The ELSA cards
were added, if I remember correctly, in V4.0F or V4.0G, so they are
also in V5.1 and later. There are other cards that are shipping in
systems now that might work, but I don't know the vendor's names for
them, and I have no idea what's readily available in your locale (I
believe ".ch" is Switzerland, right?). All of this impacts what is
inexpensive and actually works.
