5.1B genvmunix kernel panic

Dear managers,

After booting from a restored vdump, I got an unexpected kernel panic from
the genvmunix kernel:

 PANIC (CPU0) KN600-pci_confl1 = cannot configure PCI subsystem -- get_bus
failure

Here´s what I was trying to do:

I installed Tru64 5.1B on a PWS500, but that machine had very little
diskspace, so I wanted
to transfer everything to a faster DS10 with a much larger disk.

I took a vdump of the UFS-only filesystems and vrestored it on the DS10
without problems.
Then I tried to boot from the restored genvmunix kernel in single-user mode,
and I got the panic message above.

Does anyone know why the genvmunix kernel on disk is unhappy?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

 Michael Bütow
